Moreton Bay Suns are the premier basketball association in the Moreton Bay region. We are the only Moreton Bay Basketball Association that:

Is affiliated with Basketball Australia and Basketball Queensland. Which means:

​We can provide pathways for U10 through the Basketball Australia Aussie Hoops program.

Our coaches are accredited thru Basketball Australia which means our coaches are AIS accredited.

Whose referees are accredited thru Basketball Australia and Basketball Queensland.

Whose Score Table personnel Basketball Australia are accredited thru Basketball Australia and Basketball Queensland to NBL level.

Has sports insurance thru Basketball Australia for injuries incurred at games and at any training event.

We can compete in Basketball Queensland elite regional junior (BQJBC) and Senior (SBL) Competitions.

Has Junior teams for U11, U13, U15 and 2 levels of Intermediate Junior Players

Has Senior competitions for men and women with 3 levels of skill. (30+ teams)
We foster a positive environment for players and their families to grow and develop in both sport and life. At Suns we encourage socialisation, life skill development and sport development in a nurturing and supportive environment and work to be transparent and accountable across all our teams and programs.

MISSION STATEMENT
Moreton Bay Basketball Inc. is dedicated to providing inclusive, innovative, and high-quality basketball experiences for the community. Our mission is to not only develop skilled athletes but also empower our members to become active community contributors through various community service initiatives. We aim to equip our junior members with life-long skills that will support their future employability and enable them to make meaningful contributions to the local community.
PHILOSOPHY
Moreton Bay Basketball’s philosophy is to provide the opportunity for people of all ages to develop their skills, learn life lessons and enjoy the game of basketball.

Opportunities are available for a social player looking to enhance their skills while playing for fun or to an advanced player with a competitive desire to become a complete player both physically and mentally, through our Sun’s representative programs.
