Senior Competition

We’re delighted that you’ve shown interest in joining the Moreton Bay Suns Basketball Club for the upcoming Summer 2026–27 season.

Moreton Bay Basketball's Senior Competition provides opportunities for players of all skill levels to participate in a structured and enjoyable domestic basketball competition. Competitions are played at the Morayfield Sports and Event Centre (MSEC) across multiple men's and women's divisions, catering for both social and competitive teams. Divisions are graded where necessary to ensure balanced and competitive games throughout the season.

Summer 2026–27 Season

Team nominations for the Summer 2026–27 Season open on Saturday, 29 August 2026, with the competition commencing on Tuesday, 6 October 2026.

Please note:

• The registration link is for team nominations only.

• Individual players must be invited by their Team Manager/Captain before they can complete their individual registration.

• Once your team has been nominated, please email competitions@moretonbaysuns.com to confirm the division your team wishes to play in.

• If your team does not intend to return for the Summer season, please let us know so we can update our records and remove the team from future correspondence.

How to Register Your Team

When completing your team nomination:

1. Select "New Team Registration".

2. Register yourself as the Manager.

3. Enter your team name.

4. Add all team members, beginning with yourself.

5. You will need each player's name, mobile number and email address so Basketball Connect can send each player an invitation to register.

6. Select your preferred payment option and accept the Terms and Conditions.

Individual players will then receive an invitation through Basketball Connect to complete their own registration.

Team Nomination & Game Fees

• A $50.00 Team Nomination Fee is payable through Basketball Connect at the time of nomination.

​

Weekly game fees for the Summer season will be:

• $115.00 per team, per game - TeamPay will continue to be the preferred payment method.

• Existing teams can continue using their current TeamPay code.

• New teams will receive their TeamPay code and payment instructions via email once their nomination has been approved.

Player Registration Fees

The following registration fees apply:

• Moreton Bay Basketball (MBBI) Seasonal Fee: $55.00 per season (incl. GST)

• Basketball Queensland (BQ) Registration: $91.47 annually (incl. GST)*

• Basketball Australia (BA) Registration: $5.50 annually (incl. GST)*

*Basketball Queensland and Basketball Australia registration fees are expected to increase from 1 December 2026.

If your BQ or BA registration expires during the Summer season, you will need to renew the applicable registration before you can continue playing.

 Important Fee Information

Due to new Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) regulations taking effect from 1 October 2026, there may be a slight increase to some fees.

​
